I turn largish wall sculptures which are designed to replace or use instead of pictures. Although I have been using mainly brown oak which I brought over from England I am starting to use locally sourced wood such as Ash, London Plane, Walnut and Elm. To make them more interesting I highlight the defects by ebonising, adding colour and carve. I sometimes add Raku ceramics to the centres of some sculptures as in wall sculpture #3.
